The three apps, Final Cut Pro X, Motion and Compressor were updated on 25th August.
The update streamlines and speeds up proxies and footage meant for social media in vertical or square formats.
New social media tools automate video cropping in square, vertical, and other custom sizes for popular social media platforms.
There are improvements in ProRes RAW camera settings, such as ISO, color temperature, and exposure offset being exposed in the inspector for the first time.
A most welcome addition is the ability to use a shortcut and menu option to create Audio crossfades on adjacent clips in one simple step.

Improved proxy workflows
Generate proxy media in custom frame sizes of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or full resolution
Choose to create proxy media in either ProRes Proxy or H.264
